Climbing and mountaineering

Merano and its surroundings offer a wide range of different destinations that are perfect for a climbing tour

Whether you prefer indoor climbing or discovering the area's highest mountain peaks - there will be something for everyone! Imagine standing in top of a 2,000 m high mountain with rich green valleys beneath you... what a great view it is! All this enhanced by a gentle Mediterranean climate and untouched natural sceneries wherever you look.

Don't mind asking for qualified local mountain guides, appreciated for their valuable suggestions and good knowledge of the mountains. There's even a school for beginners: Meran Alpin.
