The climate of Merano

The gentle mild climate of the spa town of Merano and its surroundings are known far beyond the regional borders

Sub-Mediterranean is the classification of an area that offers a well-balanced warm climate even in late autumn and spring. Like hardly anywhere else in South Tyrol, the sun shines almost permanently over Merano, which is why Merano has also given itself the nickname "The sunny city". Those who like it a little fresher and cooler, especially on warm summer days, can spend their days in the Val Passiria or Val Senales.

This are the average minimum and maximum temperatures of Merano:

  • January: from -5 to 6°C
  • February: from -2 to 9°C
  • March: from 2 to 15°C
  • April: from 5 to 19°C
  • May: from 9 to 22°C
  • June: from 13 to 27°C
  • July: from 15 to 30°C
  • August: from 15 to 28°C
  • September: from 11 to 25°C
  • October: from 6 to 19°C
  • November: from -1 to 11°C
  • December: from -4 to 7°C
