For means of public transport in South Tyrol, tickets and tariffs of the local transport network apply from Trento to Innsbruck
You can choose between ordinary tickets, value cards and special tickets.
Ordinary tickets and value cards
Urban ticket: urban areas and citybuses
Tariff: 1.50 Euros
Purchase: at authorised sales outlets, at the automatic ticket vendors, and at the automatic ticket dispensers installed on all SASA buses
Interurban ticket: interurban buses and local trains
Tariff: 15 Cent/km (rounded up to the nearest 50 Cent)
Purchase: on suburban buses, at authorised sales outlets, at the automatic ticket vendors
Value card: public transport of the Integrated Transportation System and Eurocity-trains (DB/OBB/Le Nord) from Trento to Innsbruck, not valid for the IC/EN trains of Trenitalia
Tariff: 12 Cent/km (rounded up to the nearest 50 Cent)
Purchase: on suburban buses, at authorised sales outlets, at the automatic ticket vendors (available as 10, 25 and 50 Euros-value card)
Every ticket has to be validated: in interurban coaches you can validate it directly on the bus, while in the city buses and SASA you simply validate the ticket in the ticket validation machine. Train tickets must be validated in the green or yellow validation machines on the train or in the station, by entering the code of your destination. For single tickets you don't have to enter the code.

Mobilcard: use of the public bus and rail network throughout South Tyrol for 1, 3 or 7 consecutive days
Price: Euro 20.00 - 45.00 or Euro 10.00 - 22.50 (children under 14 years)
Purchase: at any South Tyrol Integrated Transport ticket office, at most automatic ticket machines in the railway stations, at tourist offices and in many hotels
museumobil Card: use of the public bus and rail network for 3 or 7 consecutive days as well as one admission to each of the 80 participating museums and collections
Price: Euro 55.00 - 65.00 or Euro 27.50 - 32.50 (children under 14 years)
Purchase: at any South Tyrol Integrated Transport ticket office, at tourist offices and in many hotels
bikemobil Card: combined ticket which allows you to rent a bike and to make full use of South Tyrol's Integrated Public Transport network for 1 day
Price: Euro 30.00 or Euro 15.00 (children under 14 years)
Purchase: at any South Tyrol Integrated Transport ticket office, at tourist offices and in the railway stations' bike rentals
Children up to 6 years do not pay for using public transport.
