“Vincent & Fernando” and their style of folk music enthusiast old and young listeners
The popular duo “Vincent & Fernando” is made up of the brothers Ulrich and Otto Messner from Andriano near Bolzano. So far their voices have conquered numerous hearts with their songs and charm and many fans sway to their music. Otto is a master carpenter and draftsman, and Ulrich works in an office, but music is their passion.
For the first time the brothers attracted attention at a talent competition. In the jury of this event there was no less a figure than Norbert Rier, Singer of the South Tyrolean folk music group “Kastelruther Spatzen”, which is famous all over the German speaking area. This event has laid the foundations for the success of the brothers as musicians.
Several times “Vincent & Fernando” participated in the Gran Prix of Folk Music. In 2006 the duo reached the finale and finally they came second. The year after again they came second in the Gran Prix and also in 2008 they came second. For these reasons “Vincent & Fernando” are one of the most successful folk musicians in the Grand Prix, without having ever won the competition.
The actual album “Träume brauchen Zeit” was released in 2018.
