A small cableway takes us from Verdines near Scena to the farmsteads of Oberkirn, located west of the hamlet of Talle di Sopra. The path no. 40A follows an asphalt road leading in 45 minutes to the hamlet of Videgg. Farms and autumn coloured trees dominate the landscape, and a small chapel rises amidst green meadows. At the Hiaslbauer rest point we stop for coffee and cake and enjoy the sunbeams on the terrace. That's life!

Afterwards we follow the gravel path no. 40 through the forest and the gorge of the Rio Masul, a brook which arises from the valleys between the Laste di Verdins and Monte Ivigna mountains. We continue our hike on the path no. 19 towards the valley. It leads us slightly downhill to the signpost "Waalerhütte" and later on to this indicated mountain hut.

The rest point represents the start of the Scena Waalweg path. Following this trail we find the signpost to Verdines and walk back across sunny meadows to our starting point at the valley station of the cable car.
