The newly arranged Wine and Apple Trail in Scena is divided into 2 sections: Below the village the stations are dedicated to the topic of wine, above the village it is about apples. The two themed trails are connected via a loop of approx. 1.6 km and can therefore also be hiked at the same time. The starting point is the centre of Scena.

The wine trail, which is about 6 km long (there and back), runs partly steeply and then again leisurely through the beautiful landscape. With its more than 20 stations, it offers interesting facts about viticulture, history and many a curiosity. In addition, wonderful views on Scena Castle and Merano await you. We recommend to plan enough time for this section, as there are several wineries and farm shops along the way that invite to stop for a break.

The apple trail, on the other hand, is only 3.7 km long (there and back) and is suitable for an entertaining hike for young and old with its bee houses and apple sound games. There is also information about the fruit-growing tradition of Scena and its history. Also here, some farm shops invite you to taste their own products.

Walking in the footsteps of Bacchus and Pomona (whose pet name "Pomina" is used here) through the wonderful cultural landscape of Scena is possible in any season. But the most beautiful time is in spring, when the apples are in blossom, and in autumn, when the grapes are ripe and the vines shine in splendid colours.
