A varied programme of music, entertainment and plenty of fun awaits you at the small but excellent Open Air Gaul
For 30 years now, the small Open Air Gaul has been a fixture on South Tyrol’s festival scene. Every year, usually at the end of May, it kicks off the festival season in South Tyrol and the cultural summer in Merano and Environs.
The setting for this very special open-air event is the ice rink area in the Gaul Canyon near Lana, which, with its imposing rock faces, lush jungle and stream, provides a unique backdrop. Great local bands, various genres of music and excellent entertainment – including something for the whole family – are guaranteed. In the chill-out zone, you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere by the campfire with beach vibes, and of course, there’s plenty of food and drink on offer.
The Open Air Gaul is organised by a team of volunteers and the Jux Lana Youth Centre. The net proceeds go towards funding and organising concerts by the Jux Youth Centre.
