The convenient Val Venosta Railway makes cycling even more pleasant
The beautiful Val Venosta valley and the surroundings can be perfectly discovered on a bicycle, and the Val Venosta Railway makes this adventure even more pleasant. The train connects the spa town of Merano with Malles in Val Venosta. Six stations in this area offer bicycle rentals: Merano, Naturno, Laces, Silandro, Spondigna and Malles. Moreover there are rental stations at the station of Bolzano Sud and at Passo Resia.
At every bicycle hire you can rent and return bikes and also a helmet is offered. There are also children's seats or trailers and special tandem bikes on offer.
If you want to carry your own bicycle, you need an additional ticket. Attention: regional trains are equipped for the transport of 16 to 20 bicycles only, and boarding the Val Venosta Train with bicycles might be interdicted at specified times.
