Europe's most complete collection of women's clothes and accessories from 1820 to 1990 may be admired at the heart of Merano. The Museum of Women introduces you to 200 years of history. Besides a permanent exhibition entitled "the ideals of beauty, the roles of women and women & work", temporary exhibitions and readings are organised. Moreover, the museum also features a special library dedicated to fashion, female research and costumes.
Visit Merano's Museum of Women and discover what the life of your mum, grandmother and great grandmother was really like. In 2010, the two top floors of the Convent of the Poor Clares at the Kornplatz square where adapted for the Women's Museum.
