This beautiful hike beneath the peaks of the Monte Ivigna and the Laste di Verdins proceeds to the magic Lago di San Pancrazio at 2,100 m asl

The Piffing mountain station of the Naif-Merano 2000 Cable Car (which represents also the mountain station of the Falzeben Cable Car) is the starting point of this mountain tour. The path no. 3 takes us from 1,900 m a.s.l. beneath the summit of the Monte Ivigna towards north-east to the Giogo Pietramala saddle at 2,130 m a.s.l. (Missensteinjoch).
Following the signpost no. 4 we reach the Lago di San Pancrazio lake (Kratzberger See), located at 2,116 m a.s.l. beneath Mt. Laste di Verdins. The path coincides with a section of the E5, the European long-distance trail. The hike offers amazing views on the lake, the landscape characterised by the mountain pastures between the village of Avelengo and the Val Sarentino valley, the Monte Ivigna and Laste di Verdins mountains as well as on the Merano valley basin (from the starting point at the mountain station).
